Maria H. Janda is an independent contracted paralegal with Brenner Kaprosy Mitchell, L.L.P.  Her principal areas of practice are probate and trust administration.

Ms. Janda assists surviving heirs and devisees in transferring property titled in the name of deceased individuals to the rightful successors-in-interest.  Her broad knowledge and over twenty years of probate experience allow her to assist and advise personal representatives and answer questions concerning the Ohio and Florida probate process.

She has been involved with many formal and informal probates of decedent’s estates, both testate and intestate.  Ms. Janda also prepares the required documents to transfer assets without a probate for small estates that are exempt from Ohio probates and assists in transferring a deceased person’s assets without a probate.

Ms. Janda has a wide range of experience in drafting wills, codicils, revocable living trusts, trust amendments, irrevocable life insurance trusts, health care powers of attorney and durable powers of attorney.   She assists in preparing tax returns, handles entity formation and corporate record books as needed in the estate planning process.

Ms. Janda began her career with Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP in Cincinnati in 1984 where she gained extensive knowledge of the Ohio probate process.  Upon her return to Cleveland, she worked in the probate department at Kelley, McCann & Livingstone, LLP.   She has been an independent contracted paralegal since 1991.
